The Pudendal Nerve: Secret Hot Button That Triggers Urination

Here's a topic I haven't seen discussed in wetting circles:  the "secret button" that triggers urination, at least in the female population based on the preponderance of women who claim it works.  I am among them.  The Pudendal nerve's influence on urinary urgency is a bit of a mystery, at least in this instance.  How does rubbing the top of your butt crack make you need to PEE?

I learned about this nerve with the funny name when I saw a photo of a pissy-panted woman rubbing her ass crack (shown above) and it triggered my memories of doing exactly this when I was younger to encourage urination, usually while trying to "hurry up" & wet myself and avoid getting caught.  I'd rub the little area where the crack comes together at the top and viola!  I'd be wetting in no time.

See?  I didn't dream this up!

Another internet person has discovered this trick!

"Official" nurse shares the trick.

I guess the only real question is, how did my little ass learn about this when I was under 12 years old?  I have no memory of that, all I know is it works. There's a slight ticklish sensation that radiates deep within, and before you know it you're peeing. What happens in between is anyone's guess.

Rub where the red arrow points.

This super stealthy nerve plays a role in regulating urinary frequency and can cause incontinence or chronic pain (interstitial cystitis) when damaged.  It also plays a role in genital control and control of the perineum and anal sphincter.  But we're just focusing on that little bit at the top of the crack.  To stimulate urination, gently tickle, press or run your fingernails over the area--back and forth, up and down--experiment until you find the most sensitive spot.  Hell, use a feather or other super light, ticklish item to touch it.  You'll know when you hit it because your need to pee will increase.

This can come in handy when you're faced with medical pressure to pee (drug test, urodynamic testing, etc) or when you're trying to let go for recreational purposes.  Many folks report having a difficulty wetting their pants or diaper the first few times; this is a no-risk way of potentially overcoming that.  Just be gentle and wash your hands well afterward since you're playing around the backside.

Had you heard of this "trick" before?  If so, does it work for you?
